National Speaker and Award-Winning Author Natalie Hale To Visit The Stepping Stones School

Natalie Hale, national speaker and award-winning author will visit The Arc of Essex County's Stepping Stones School on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for a "Special Reads for Special Needs" presentation. During this two hour session, Ms. Hale will lead attendees through an effective plan to teach reading to learners of any age with Down syndrome.
Discussion topics include:
- The optimal order of learning to read
- Sight word learning vs. Phonemic awareness
- Teaching nonverbal children and older non-readers
- How to engage motivation
- The Fast Flash method
