The Arc of Essex County Unveils Student Ambassador Program in Conjunction with the 2015 Building Tomorrows Initiative
February 9th, 2015
Are you or is someone you know affected by an intellectual or developmental disability and have a story to share?
The Arc of Essex County is looking for Student Ambassadors to represent the 2015 Building Tomorrows walk. An ambassador is the “face” of the event and uses his or her personal story to inspire, engage and educate the community. Through forming walk teams, speaking engagements, media interviews and public outreach, ambassadors energize others to get involved with The Arc and Building Tomorrows. In addition to involvement as volunteers and fundraisers, the Student Ambassador Program provides opportunities to the participants to build friendships and support.
Nominate yourself or someone you know to be honored as the Student Ambassador in your community! The nomination deadline is Monday, March 30. If you nominate someone else, be sure to ask him or her about this important role before you submit a nomination.
Additional information and the nomination form are available here. For more information or questions about the Student Ambassador program please contact Heather Comstock at 973-535-1181 x1224 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
