The New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities funded the National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP) and Columbia College of Dental Medicine to identify barriers to oral health among individuals with IDD in New Jersey and develop a five year plan to overcome these barriers. Heather Koball, Co-Director of NCCP, Suma Setty, Senior Research Associate at NCCP, and Dr. Chelsea Fosse, Senior Policy Analyst at the American Dental Association, will present their approach to this research project and discuss the findings and five year plan during this webinar.

Beginning on January 1, 2021, there will be some changes in Medicare Part D, the federal drug benefit that is used by most dual eligibles (persons who have both Medicaid and Medicare) to obtain their prescription medications.

This webinar is for everyone who wants to know about Medicare Part D for the dual eligibles, including employees of provider agencies serving people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), staff from DDD, family members, and health care professionals. The webinar will discuss the details of the changes and how they will affect individuals with developmental disabilities who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

Join us to hear Judy Rosenthal, Program Director for the Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled Offender Alternative to Incarceration (IDDATI) Program, run by the Rockland County District Attorney's Office, discuss the ongoing success of this program in targeting people with IDD who become involved in the criminal justice system. As one of their alternatives to incarceration programs, the IDDATI program is a multi-disciplinary process aimed at organizing services to keep individuals safely in the community.
