As we begin to come out of the current phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is a time for reflection. How can we plan for crises and emergencies?

Emergency planning is tough but important. Planning ahead can help ensure that you, your family, and people with disabilities know what to do when crises happen. Now more than ever, we are learning to adapt when we are isolated, the importance of pre-establishing key relationships in the community, and pre-planning for any emergency.

Webinar speaker will provide tips and strategies that people with disabilities, families, and disability professionals can use to help plan for when disasters strike. Many tips will be applicable to the current COVID-19 pandemic, but will also provide strategies that you can use to prepare for different types of emergencies.

The right to file a due process petition is the ultimate safeguard for protecting your child’s education. Although no parent wants a legal battle, sometimes parents have to choose between accepting an educational program that isn’t appropriate and defending their child’s rights in court. However, many parents find the legal system daunting or are unaware of how to preserve rights such as “stay-put” and education in the least restrictive environment. This workshop will provide practical advice on how and when to utilize the legal process, key information to include in a petition, what to expect at each stage including typical timelines, and how to navigate interactions with judges.

  • A whole wheat wrap for the dough
  • 1 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1 8oz bag of shredded mozzarella cheese OR a log of fresh mozzarella cheese

  • Healthy Toppings (examples include: sliced peppers, squash, olives, onion, pineapple, tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, basil)
  • Spice toppings (garlic powder, oregano, red pepper, parmesan cheese)
