Adult Recreation Program Visits the Farm & Celebrates Summer with a Luau at Camp Hope

August 12th, 2019

The Arc of Essex County’s Community Inclusion Program held their Summer Jam Island Party at Camp Hope on Sunday, August 4th. Participants enjoyed a variety of activities including limbo, karaoke, cooling off in the splash pad, and more! Everyone received awesome takeaways as a memory of the day, such as luau-themed glasses and leis.

Then, on Sunday, August 11th, the group visited Alstede Farms’ Peach Festival to enjoy peach treats as well as navigate through the mazes, play on the hay bales, and pet the farm animals. Everyone enjoyed tasting the farm-fresh bounty and many attendees took home farm fare including fresh made pies to share with family and friends!
