Does Your Child Turn 21 After July 1?
April 22nd, 2019
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that requires schools to serve the educational needs of eligible students with disabilities. Under this law, students with specific disabilities are provided free public education until the age of 21. This means if your loved one turns 21 after July 1, they can remain in the school system for an additional year.
