FARM-TO-TABLE CLASS A HIT!

August 20th, 2018

On Sunday, August 19th, the Adult Respite Program participated in one of The Arc’s new hit programs, the farm-to-table cooking program. Participants shopped for fresh fruits and vegetables at the Nutley Farmers Market before returning to The Arc of Essex County’s Creative Visions Day Program in Orange to create the delicious meal. The farm-to-table class helps to foster healthy eating and tips to maintain good health and a well-balanced lifestyle. The group prepared a delicious meal, including roasted vegetables, corn-on-the-cob, a fruit bowl using watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, and blueberries, and a variety of pies to indulge in for dessert.
