Millburn and Beacon Group Homes Reunite for a Paint & Sip Party

July 18th, 2019

Last year, the Millburn Group home underwent interior renovations to create greater accessibility for its residents and to upgrade the fire sprinkler system.  While renovations were taking place, residents relocated, with some staying at the Beacon group home in Livingston.  During their stay the Beacon and Millburn housemates and staff became close friends.

Since then, the two group homes often plan events with one another and on Wednesday, July 17th the Millburn group home hosted the Beacon residents for a paint and sip evening.  Everyone enjoyed sipping apple cider, enjoying great conversation, and channeling their inner Picasso. Daishon, an instructor from Paint and Chill in Hillside, took the time to provide great direction and artistic suggestions so everyone could follow along. By the end of the night everyone was pleased with their creative artistry and look forward to their next evening together.
