The Arc of Essex County’s community inclusion, recreation, and respite consumers gathered for several fun events during the month of February.
A Super Bowl Sunday party featured a fun day of activities, including snack making, Super Bowl commercial bingo, and a variety of football-themed games.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the “Be Mine” celebration included making chocolate creations, Valentine crafts, and games over lunch, with a chocolate tasting to close out the festivities.
And the month closed out with an Oscar Night party, which included walking the red carpet, making individual stars of fame, filling out an Oscar ballot, and guessing the winners. Attendees performed their own talents and gave acceptance speeches to the “academy” in attendance. If your loved one with intellectual or developmental disabilities is interested in educational programming, community experiences, seasonally themed events, or weekend group respite programs, the offerings for individuals 18 and older can be viewed in our Community Inclusion, Recreation, & Respite Fall Calendar.
