Visitors to The Arc of Essex County’s Studio Arc have learned new techniques and been inspired by a variety of renowned artists as they’ve created innovative and colorful works this summer.
Classes explored different artists, including Frida Kahlo and Andy Warhol, and replicated their styles and techniques using a variety of media, such as watercolors and collage. Arc artisans learned how to paint with different textures and use airbrushing tools. In block-printing and stamp-making sessions, our artists were inspired by artist Jim Dine when making their own stamps and creating cool and interesting pop art.
Studio Arc has also been home to other forms of art and creative movement, including yoga paired with mindful crafts and music activities that featured instrument making. Ladies Nights and Man Cave Mondays have also continued for some of The Arc’s group home residents.
Located on Passaic Avenue in Fairfield, Studio Arc provides visitors with opportunities to engage in a wide range of visual and creative arts classes.
