It was a bustling holiday season at Stepping Stones School, as students took part in a variety of fun activities to celebrate the December holidays.
The annual Holiday Party, complete with a visit from Santa, live music, gift giving, and a special story time session, took place on December 14. All three classrooms and the early intervention programs joined in the festive scene.
On December 15, students from The Deron School of New Jersey visited Stepping Stones for their annual gathering. Together, the Deron and Stepping Stones students completed a wooden tree craft together, which each of the children decorated and took home. The day also featured a bowling game and a winter story time circle.
On December 21, Roseland Mayor James Spango and the Roseland Police Department visited the students to deliver gifts to each of the children, which were collected as part of the RPD’s toy drive.
The season also featured a visit to see Frosty the Snowman at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, with bussing generously funded by the playhouse.
The students also took part in classroom lessons and activities related to Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s. They completed art projects, listened to stories, and played games related to the holidays.
