More than 20 teams have already signed up for The Arc of Essex County’s 26th Annual Building Tomorrows 5K Run, Family Walk, and Fun Fest, which is coming up on Saturday, April 27.
The event will take place at the Clipper Pavilion in West Orange and will feature a scenic 5K race, followed by a fundraising walk and a Fun Fest packed with family-friendly entertainment and activities, including a children’s cooking station from Chef it Up, creative projects from Indigo Art Studios and the Montclair Art Museum, a bubble station with OMG Bubbles, Monster Mini Golf, lively music from Dancing DJs, fairy hair, face painting, and more. (All activities included with event registration.)
Online pre-registration for runners is $30, and $35 for day-of registration. There is a $10 registration fee for walkers, who are encouraged to fundraise. Medals will be given to runners by age group and prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising individuals and teams. Admission to the Fun Fest is $5 (free to event registrants and children under 5). All proceeds will directly benefit local children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The Arc is excited to feature 16 Student Champions, who are helping to spread the word about intellectual and developmental disabilities and raise funds to support our Arc families through the Building Tomorrows event. The 16 Student Champions include students in grades 3 to 12, representing 10 towns throughout Essex County.
The Arc thanks sponsors PSEG, Bogush Plumbing Heating and Cooling, William H. Connolly & Co.
