The music, energy, and laughter of children’s programming returned to Studio Arc in September after a break for the summer season, with Communi-Play and Parents’ Night Out offering opportunities for toddlers, children, and teens to have enriching experiences together.
The Communi-Play communication parties, which are geared toward ages 2.5 to 5, took place on September 14 and 28. Led by speech-language specialist Jaquetta Perry-Boyd, each highly engaging and interactive session helps children and their parents practice communication and conversation skills such as listening, eye contact, body language, and gestures. This program is offered at no cost to families, but registration is required: Visit https://bit.ly/communi-play to sign up. Upcoming sessions will take place on October 12 and 26, November 9 and 23, and December 7 and 21.
For The Arc’s older children and teens, the first Parents’ Night Out of the school year took place on September 20. Parents’ Night Out events deliver an entertaining few hours for children and teens while Arc parents can enjoy an evening to themselves, knowing their loved ones are safely enjoying activities with their peers. Upcoming dates include October 18, November 15, and December 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Studio Arc in Fairfield.
