Supporters of The Arc of Essex County can buy their special someone a card or candle handmade by Studio Arc artisans as a Valentine’s Day gift.
The Studio Arc Shop, which can be visited at bit.ly/studioarcshop, is selling three different designs of Valentine’s Day cards, each featuring embossing and die-cut details and sold for $5. The shop also includes Valentine’s-themed soy wax candles with essential oils, which are available in two different scents. The Floral Fantasy candle is scented with notes of bergamot, rose, and ylang ylang and features decorative dried flowers and a red ribbon. The Chocolate Delight candle features a scent of chocolate-covered strawberries and includes decorative gemstones and a pink ribbon. Both are sold for $10 each. (Shipping is not available for the candles, which would have to be picked up at The Arc of Essex County’s main office in Livingston.)
Additional items for sale include printed zippered bags, boxed note cards featuring images of Studio Arc-created works of art, and greeting cards for a variety of special occasions.
Studio Arc provides participants of all ages with opportunities to engage in a wide range of visual and creative arts classes. Proceeds from Studio Arc shop purchases go to the artisans with intellectual and developmental disabilities who created the handcrafted items.
