Grab your sneakers and rally your crew: registration is officially open for The Arc of Essex County’s 28th Annual Building Tomorrows 5K Run, Family Walk, and Fun Fest! Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Clipper Pavilion in West Orange for a feel-good day that brings together fitness, family fun, and community spirit.

The morning kicks off with a scenic 5K run, followed by a fundraising Family Walk and an action-packed Fun Fest designed for all ages. Every step taken and dollar raised helps support local children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their families.

Registration is $30 for 5K runners and $10 for walkers, who are encouraged to boost their impact by raising additional funds. Event T-shirts are guaranteed for runners who register by April 1, and for walkers who raise $25 or more by April 1. Awards will be given to top finishers by age group, as well as standout individual and team fundraisers.

Fun Fest admission is $5 (free for registered participants and children under 5) and will feature exciting activities like hands-on cooking experiences, creative art projects, face painting, and musical entertainment from Dancing DJs—with even more attractions to be announced soon.

We’re also proud to welcome back the Student Champion Program, empowering students in grades 3–12 to step up as leaders, fundraisers, and advocates for inclusion. Stay tuned for updates introducing our powerhouse team of students.
