For more than a decade, Jamie’s ever-present smile has brightened The Arc of Essex County’s programs and events.

Jamie is a regular at Adult Recreation and Respite events, taking part in day trips to the shore, brunch cruises, cooking classes, seasonal parties, and more. She is quick to pick up new art skills at Studio Arc, where she says she really loves making crafts with her friends. She also enjoys attending Hotel Respite weekends.

Jamie has also been a part of the SYA Day Program for nearly eight years, where she is a friend to all. She delights in going out into the community with her SYA group, and is part of its Jobs Club, where she recently learned hospitality skills at the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Fairfield.

When The Arc Day Programs all come together for group events, Jamie is a happy participant, whether it’s dancing with friends at the Holiday Express Party, running the track at the annual fitness run/walk, or delivering jokes as part of the “Arc’s Got Talent” show at Studio Arc. She also is a regular at Camp Hope during the summer season.

“I love The Arc and I love my friends here,” she says. “There are so many good people.”
