The Arc of Essex County Grants Update

The Arc of Essex County is grateful to announce the recent awarding of three grants that will support adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Arc programs. The Flagstar Foundation granted $25,000 toward the hiring of an additional instructor at Studio Arc. The NJSGA Youth Foundation granted $14,000 to Camp Hope for the continuation of an adaptive sports specialist as well as general camp support. The Jacob and Eugenie Bucky Memorial Foundation Inc. granted $6,000 toward The Arc’s Camp Hope fee assistance program for the 2025 season. It is with great sadness that The Arc of Essex County announces the passing of our good friend George Seals. George had been with The Arc since 2008, spending a lot of his years at Avenues, and then SYA.  George lived every day to the fullest, he enjoyed all the special events that SYA offered, and was kind to everyone he met.
