The tenth and final Communi-Play session of 2023 took place on November 4 as families gathered at Studio Arc to enjoy a free communication party led by Jaquetta Perry-Boyd, “Mrs. J,” a specialist with more than 20 years of speech-language experience. In these highly engaging and interactive events, children ages 2.5 to 5 and their parents practiced communication and conversation skills such as listening, eye contact, body language, and gestures.

Over the course of the 2023 season, there were 84 participants who took part in the morning Communi-Play events, which were offered for free thanks to grants from the Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation and the Partnership for Children of Essex.

The dates for 2024 are scheduled for January 6 and 20, February 10 and 24, March 9 and 23, April 13 and 27, May 4 and 18, and June 8 and 22.
