Camp Hope Season Concludes

After a busy summer of entertaining campers of all ages, Camp Hope wrapped up its 69th season with two final weeks in August that focused on children and teens for days of summer fun and community. The home stretch of the seven-week season included Spirit Week and Around the World Week. From colorful crafts to cultural adventures, Camp Hope was full of energy and enthusiasm to close out the summer.

Spirit Week featured tie dye, Wacky Wednesday, and the annual Color Wars battle that covered everyone in a rainbow of hues. Around the World Week took campers on a global journey, with each day dedicated to a different destination, from London to Australia to China to Africa, and concluding with a barnyard celebration.

With a 7 percent increase in intakes, Camp Hope was able to accommodate more campers this year as its staffing expanded the number of 1:1 and 1:2 counselors on site, allowing more families to get the support they need during the summer months. The Arc of Essex County thanks our Camp Hope campers and their families, as well as our tireless camp staff and volunteers, for another summer full of joyful experiences.
