Students, families, and staff gathered at Studio Arc on June 17 to celebrate the end of the 2025-2026 school year at Stepping Stones School. The annual moving-up ceremony highlighted the achievements of students throughout the year and recognized those who will be moving on to new schools in the fall.
Students processed from the school to the nearby Studio Arc multi-purpose space, where families and friends were ready to cheer them on as each class performed songs they had practiced with their classmates.
The ceremony included an acknowledgement of children who are moving up to the next classroom level, and extra special recognition of the six students who will be leaving Stepping Stones this year. Four students graduated from the school’s Primary Plus classroom and will continue their educational journeys at different schools this fall. Two additional children were recognized as they prepare to move on to new school placements. All six students wore caps and gowns as they proudly received their certificates.
Following the performances, students and families watched a photo slideshow featuring memories and milestones from throughout the school year. The Arc of Essex County congratulates each of the Stepping Stones students on a successful school year and extends its gratitude to the dedicated teachers, therapists, and staff members who support them every day.
Stepping Stones School’s Extended School Year (ESY) program began on July 1.
