Residential Roundup

Residents across The Arc of Essex County enjoyed a fun-filled July, celebrating birthdays, spending time with friends, and making the most of the summer season through special outings and house events.

  • The Nutley Group Home came together to celebrate the Fourth of July with a festive holiday lunch and dinner.
  • Residents from the Beechtree Group Home also took advantage of the beautiful summer weather with a visit to Grover Cleveland Park.
  • At the West Caldwell Group Home, everyone gathered to celebrate Jennifer Hamdan’s 40th birthday.
  • The Bloomfield Group Home had plenty to celebrate as well. Residents wished Tariq a happy 45th birthday, calling him “the coolest person everyone knows.” Known for his incredible knowledge of every sneaker brand and his standout style, Tariq was surprised with a brand-new pair of sneakers to add to his ever-growing collection. Bloomfield residents also enjoyed a trip to see Toy Story 5, followed by games, friendly competition, and lots of fun together at Dave & Buster’s.
  • Residents at Oakwood Group Home celebrated Barbara’s birthday with a special dinner at Olive Garden. To make the occasion even more memorable, housemates created custom birthday T-shirts.
  • Friendly competition was on full display during Man Cave Monday’s Summer Games, where participants tested their skills in a variety of activities. The highlight of the event was an exciting Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament that had everyone cheering, laughing, and competing for bragging rights.
  • Music took center stage during Girls Night In, where residents showed off their talents with unforgettable karaoke performances. They also made mini campfire lights together.
