Day Programs Come Together for End-of-Summer Party at Camp Hope

Participants from across The Arc of Essex County’s Day Programs came together at Camp Hope on September 3 for a summer barbecue that featured food, games, art, music and lots of opportunities to connect.

The event gave participants from different Day Program locations a chance to spend time together while enjoying the Camp Hope grounds before officially closing for The Arc season. Participants danced and took turns at karaoke, tested their skills at basketball Connect Four and other ball-toss games, and enjoyed bowling, volleyball, and giant block-building activities. They also got creative with painting, hat decorating, and temporary tattoos. Everyone also had a chance to enjoy a delicious lunch together.

Beyond the games and activities, Field Day was a wonderful opportunity for participants and staff from across our Day Programs to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new friends, and enjoy being together outside of their usual program settings. It was a fitting way to close out a busy summer and make a few more memories at Camp Hope.
