More than 20 families came together at Camp Hope on Saturday, September 12 for The Arc of Essex County’s Family Fun Fest, enjoying a beautiful late-summer day filled with activities and connections.
Designed for families with children and teens ages 2.5 to 20, the event offered activities tailored to different age groups while giving families an opportunity to learn more about the programs and services available through The Arc. Younger children kicked off the morning with Communi-Play, while older participants enjoyed a Studio Arc craft. Later, the groups switched gears, with younger children creating their own Studio Arc projects and older children and teens getting moving with Zumba.
Families also had time to enjoy Camp Hope’s playground and basketball court, tour the grounds, speak with Arc staff, and learn more about programs and resources available to children, teens, and their families.
With sunshine overhead and 23 families in attendance, Family Fun Fest was a wonderful opportunity to bring members of The Arc community together. It also highlighted expanded programming made possible through support from the Partnership for Children of Essex, helping The Arc continue to offer engaging opportunities for children and families throughout the year. Thank you to all of the families who joined us, as well as the Arc staff who helped make Family Fun Fest such a successful day.
