September brought the start of fall and plenty of opportunities for residents across The Arc of Essex County’s Residential Services to get out in the community, spend time with friends, and enjoy activities together:

• Residents at the 45 Beechtree Group Home stayed busy with a trip to Turtle Back Zoo, meals out in the community, and plenty of time relaxing and socializing together on their back deck. They also got into the fall spirit by decorating their home for Halloween.
• Newark Apartment Program residents enjoyed music and community connection at the Newark Porch Music Festival. They also headed out together to enjoy a bite together at local eateries.
• Man Cave Monday was ready for some football! The monthly gathering at Studio Arc took on a Monday Night Football theme, giving participants a chance to come together and enjoy the excitement of football season.
• Residents at the Belmont Group Home took advantage of the beautiful early fall weather with a trip to Turtle Back Zoo. Back at home, they also gathered together for a barbecue.
• Residents and staff at the Bloomfield Group Home helped make Gayle’s birthday a special one with a great party in her honor.
