Virtual services can provide the flexibility for your loved one to participate in engaging programming from the comfort of home.  With wide ranging activities taking place throughout the week and weekends, virtual programming can be a perfect complement to in-person Day Programming, recreation and respite activities.

The Arc of Essex County’s virtual services offer the ability to hand pick programming that suits your interests and schedule. Since there is no long-term commitment, it’s a great way to sample new activities and possibly discover a new passion. Activities are refreshed often and have included game nights, self-advocacy, cooking classes, chair yoga and more. You can utilize your individual budget to pay for services while temporarily available under the waiver. A self-pay option is also available.

Weekday Activities

Virtual Day programming is available Monday through Friday with several sessions offered throughout the day.  Exciting and engaging programming may include “Wacky World of Science”, Paint N’ Sip, Music Appreciation, and more. Built with flexibility in mind, you can register for individual classes, or a series of classes through The Arc’s monthly activity calendar.   You will engage in an immersive experience with each class lasting 30-45 minutes. Individuals can enroll anytime throughout the month.

Add a little excitement to your social calendar with a talent show, wreath making, or beach party bingo, add a little excitement to your social calendar. A seasonal calendar keeps activities fresh, and there is no long-term commitment.
